At Acre Heads, we have enhanced our playtimes to ensure every child can enjoy play in their own unique way. We’ve created dedicated zones throughout the school, each catering to different types of play. Children have the freedom to explore and play in their own imaginative ways, experimenting, problem-solving, and having fun using a wide range of available resources which are very different in each zone. This approach provides high-quality play experiences for all children, regardless of the weather.

Our outdoor areas are continuously evolving to provide an even wider range of play opportunities. The children thoroughly enjoy exploring the various zones, from rolling in tyres and creating dens to concocting new recipes in the mud kitchen and digging in the sand. They also enjoy inventing games with small world toys and zipping around the yard on scooters. Through these activities, they have fun while developing essential life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and resilience, all while fostering their creativity and imagination.
