What is School Streets?

‘School Street pedestrianisation aims to ease the congestion, improve the local environment and road safety concerns that many schools experience during drop-off and pick-up times, by facilitating timed traffic restrictions on the road outside the school gates’.

Langford Walk

Restricted access times – TBC

8:00-9:00am

3:00-4:00pm

Signage

New gateway signage will be erected at the entrance of the road(s) covered by the ETRO detailing the restriction.

Marshalls/Volunteers

A trained school Street volunteer Marshall will be on hand at the entrance of the restricted road(s) during the effected times to offer assistance/advice

to drivers. The school will be seeking to recruit a pool of volunteers made up of staff/parents/residents and members of the local community.
