Year 5 have been enjoying STEM Fortnight so far, they have been carrying out a number of experiments....
Paper Plane Launcher - children made various paper planes to launch in the playground. Testing to see how far their plane would travel ✈
Pop Up Coke Can - children had to find a way of getting a coke can out of the mug without touching the mug! ☕
Bubble Snake - children had to blow through a cup and sock filled with liquid to create a snake pattern 🐍
Build a Bridge - children had to find a way of building a strong bridge, using only paper. Tested to see if it was strong enough by placing a toy car on it 🌉🏎

Paddington Explorers began STEM fortnight with a magic heart experiment.
They dripped food colouring onto love heart shaped cotton pads, adding a squirt of washing up liquid to the hearts before dropping them into some milk and watching the magic happen!
The children loved watching the colours escape from the hearts and stream through the milk.
Well done Explorers!
