Welcome to
Acre Heads Primary School

‘a place to nourish thinking minds’

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, I’m delighted to welcome you to the Acre Heads Primary School website. We are incredibly proud of our school, our pupils and their achievements. Acre Heads has a strong, respected reputation for success in academic learning, the arts and sport.

At the heart of all we do is a genuine love of life and learning. We aim to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported, respected and valued. Our dedicated staff provide an engaging, enriching curriculum that inspires curiosity, creativity and excellence.

We believe every child is unique and full of potential. It is our privilege to support and guide them as they grow in confidence, skills and understanding. We aim to equip all pupils with the knowledge, resilience and enthusiasm needed to lead happy, fulfilling lives.

This can be seen through our core values:

BELIEF,   DETERMINATION,   RESILIENCE,   TEAMWORK

We hope this website provides a sense of what makes Acre Heads such a special place to learn and grow. If you are considering our school for your child, we would be delighted to welcome you for a visit. Come and see the school in action and meet the wonderful pupils and staff who make it such a happy and purposeful community.

Acre Heads is a happy, exciting and ambitious school — and we look forward to sharing it with you.

Mr G Sitch

Headteacher

We provide an exciting and enriching curriculum

We believe our curriculum should prepare pupils not just for the next stage of education, but for life beyond primary school. When children leave Acre Heads, they do so equipped with the skills, knowledge and attitudes they need to thrive — ready to become confident, caring and responsible citizens who understand and value the world around them.

The children made so much progress and were able to pass down the line by the end.

They are already looking forward to their next session!

First day back at school after the May half term holidays and a neighbouring garden experienced a garden fire which quickly spread to our dividing hedge

Mr Sitch kept the fire at bay before the fire service arrived. Thank you to Humberside Fire and Rescue for their swift response to the 999 call which prevented the fire from spreading to our FS2 area

The children were all excellent and followed the procedure we have in place where they remain indoors keeping external doors and windows closed
