Acre Heads School Uniform
School Uniform
We believe that wearing a school uniform allows children to feel part of the School community, representing the School’s colours and logo illustrating the core values as they learn and grow at Acre Heads Primary.
Uniform should be worn every day. In line with Government guidelines, we are committed to ensuring that our school uniform is affordable. We have therefore selected affordable and practical items of clothing suitable for the school day.

Please note:
Due to restricted cloakroom areas in the Foundation Stage and Years 1 & 2, we request that parents support the school by only sending children to school with a book bag and draw string PE bag. Unfortunately, rucksacks/backpacks will not be permitted. Children from Year 3 onwards are provided with a locker and are welcome to bring a rucksack/backpack to school.
Hairstyles
Hairstyles which are extreme are not permitted.
This includes: No vivid or two-tone hair colours; no cuts shorter than a number 1 razor setting; no patterns cut into hair; no beaded braids or braids with cotton/material weaves; no extensions which do not match natural hair colour. Mohican hairstyles are not acceptable.
For girls, a normal plain hair-slide, clip or “bobble” is acceptable, but the multitude of hair ornaments favoured by some girls is not.
Jewellery
On health and safety grounds, we do not allow children to wear jewellery. The exceptions to this rule are earring studs in pierced ears (one stud per ear) and wrist watches. These items of jewellery must be removed for P.E. activities.
Additional
Children are not permitted to wear make up, nail polish, and tattoos.
