How We Use the Pupil Premium at Acre Heads

We carefully plan how Pupil Premium funding is spent to make the biggest possible difference for our children. Our priorities are to:

  • Improve academic progress and attainment through targeted teaching, interventions, and small-group support.
  • Provide additional resources and learning opportunities to enrich the curriculum and broaden experiences.
  • Support emotional wellbeing through pastoral care, mentoring, and access to specialist services.
  • Remove barriers to learning, such as supporting with uniform, educational visits, or extracurricular activities.

Acre Heads Offer

In addition to the educational support we provide, the Acre Heads Offer is a package of extra support for families receiving Pupil Premium funding.

PP Educational Support

At Acre Heads, we are committed to using Pupil Premium funding effectively to raise attainment, close gaps, and ensure all pupils achieve their full potential. We draw on the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) evidence of what works to guide our decisions, ensuring our strategies have the greatest possible impact.

Funding is allocated following a needs analysis to identify priority classes, groups, or individuals. Due to limited resources, not all children receiving free school meals will be in receipt of Pupil Premium interventions at the same time.

Our provision includes:

  • Reducing class sizes to allow for more personalised teaching
• Providing small-group work and 1:1 support
• Additional teaching and learning opportunities through learning mentors
• SENCo release time to plan and deliver targeted support
  • The Acre Heads Offer – our dedicated support package for Pupil Premium families

For a detailed analysis of our provision and its impact, please see our Pupil Premium Reports.
